Last week a new Onsite Computer client called for service to his existing Microsoft business network.  His network ‘seemed’ very slow and his Quickbooks accounting data periodically experienced data corruption.  Additionally, as an Onsite system engineer was examining the recalcitrant network, there were several lightening strikes causing power surges for businesses along the Tchoupotoulas business corridor. Some of Onsite’s Clients, faculty members of Loyola’s Business School, are very interested in the unfolding competition between Microsoft’s Live Search, Yahoo Search, and Google Search.  Some contend Microsoft is determined to gain market share in the search engine arena at all costs.  Microsoft’s search engine strategy is almost changing on a daily basis in an effort to overcome Internet leader Google and their pay-per-click search engine model.
