June 3, 2009

At Onsite Computer Services in New Orleans everyone with a touch of geek or nerd in their personalities is waiting with bated breath as today’s Wall Street Journal reported Microsoft plans to release Windows 7 in October of this year.  The arrival of Windows 7 is a big event in both the computing world as well as the revenue stream.  Half of Microsoft’s profit originates from operating system sales.
Microsoft said on Tuesday its new Windows 7 operating system will be released and available on October 22, well ahead of its original schedule.  According to many, Windows 7 will replace the unpopular and incompatible Vista.  Windows 7 was originally planned for distribution at the beginning of 2010; however Microsoft’s  release of  Windows 7 in October will be in time for the year’s busiest buying period – . the holiday shopping season.
Stay tuned as Onsite Computer Services in New Orleans continues our review of the next great release from Microsoft, Windows 7.
