Microsoft Convergence in New Orleans, March 10-13

March 16, 2009

Onsite Computer Services of New Orleans was honored to attend the Convergence Conference hosted by Microsoft from March 10 – 13 in New Orleans.  The Microsoft conference introduced a plethora of new products designed to reduce the expense of its recession-battered Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) customers.

During a keynote address Kirill Tatarinov, Microsoft’s corporate vice president for business solutions said, “Our mission is to give you a set of tools that will help you become a dynamic business.” “We will stay the course… we will help you endure, prevail and win.”

Some new products publicized this week are designed to reinforce that pledge.
Onsite was especially impressed by an update for Microsoft’s CRM Online that adds a service-level agreement guaranteeing 99.9% up time.   Customers will get a credit for one month’s service in the event of any unscheduled outages, Microsoft maintains.

Convergence continues throughout the week in New Orleans.  Representatives from Onsite Computer Services will attend several of keynote ‘dog and pony‘ shows during the three-day convention.
