Microsoft Live Search – an Onsite Computer Opinion

Onsite Computer clients in New Orleans have been talking for some time about the search engine wars and Microsoft’s Live SearchLive Search is Microsoft’s latest effort to compete with Google and Yahoo in the search engine wars.  A visit to the Live site will explain Microsoft’s target  – Google

Due to the indecision in the acquisition of Yahoo by Microsoft, Live Search lacks product branding.  Microsoft is addressing this issue, most recently with the offer of rebates for products purchased from its search engine, and an agreement with HP to include its Live Search on new HP PCs.  It will be interesting to note what else Microsoft develops in its strategy to increase search engine market share in the coming months.
