Onsite Computer and Microsoft Windows Vista SP1

May 14, 2008

Much to the dismay of Onsite Computer Clients, In addition to discontinuing XP SP3, Microsoft also discontinued Vista SP1.  Spokespeople from Microsoft said Tuesday that it is resuming automatic distribution of Windows Vista SP1, which it suspended last week at the same time it put the brakes on XP SP3.  Presently, Microsoft is allowing Vista SP1 for interactive installation; however Microsoft is holding automatic installation of Vista SP1 at its update site.

Releasing a Service Pack is a huge undertaking.  However explaining why a project might be flawed is an undertaking, also.  Let’s hope the latest, greatest SP1 for Vista is a winner.
